Splash Training Program

Splash of LA, our annual community arts festival, is not only a chance to give back to our community, but also an opportunity to teach high school students fundamental skills for their professional careers. Each year, 100 local youth gain hands-on experience assisting in event production, obtaining entry-level professional experience that prepares them for their future. It becomes a great opportunity for them to gain that real-life work experience before their first job.

Impact

The annual "Splash of LA" festival is more than a music celebration; it's a vibrant symbol of community strength and unity. This event unites students, parents, volunteers, musicians, and arts and education partners, creating a force that energizes everyone involved. Beyond its captivating music and arts, "Splash of LA" mobilizes resources to meet local needs, offering vital support. It stands as a beacon of collaboration, reminding participants they have steadfast allies in Kid City and local musicians. Through the festival, individuals discover a sense of belonging and shared purpose that extends far beyond the festival grounds. We welcome approximately 500 guest who reflect the intergenerational and multicultural tapestry of South Central and South Los Angeles.
