Music lessons
Kid City’s music program welcomes youth and young adults of all musical abilities to our creative space where they are empowered to create music to share with their community. They recieve free individual and ensemble lessons in fretted and percussion instruments used in Modern Band.
Instruments include:
Guitar (acoustic and electric),
Bass
Drums
Piano/Keyboard
Voice
Our music curriculum uniquely adapts to the music level of students (from novice students to students with some formal music education).
We also offers opportunities and guidance for musically minded students to learn about careers in the arts, and to practice event production and perform at events throughout the year.
Once you learn the fundamentals, the best way to measure your growth is through playing alongside your peers.
By playing on stage you get to not only experience the pride and joys of playing for friends and family, but you develop skills in collaboration, communication, and critical thinking within the group and on stage.
Not only are these transferable to in any professional space but we provide opportunities to perform on stages across Los Angeles and the greater Los Angeles County such as the LA and OC County Fair, LA Live, and more.

The EP project was made with the intentions of giving our participants the space and the tools to write their own original songs and learn more about the recording process. Not only are they catchy tunes, but they are a manifestation of their growth as musicians. It gives them something to leave our program with and to share with the world as their own.
