Welcome!

With 100 monthly donors at $25 a month, Kid City can raise $30,000 and continue to offer our unique Kid City programs to students. Please give as you are able!

With your help, Kid City will continue to offer youth a cool respite on hot days, provide spectacular engaging programs, and affirm youth as leaders in our community! This summer, everyone is welcome at "Bloom On!" Kid City's celebration for grads on June 24th, and Splash of LA on August 12!

Our Mission

Our mission is to help low-income and youth of color to develop personally, academically, creatively and professionally within a nurturing community.

Through culturally relevant programming and services, we foster agency in youth and first-generation college students to navigate and overcome systemic barriers in their education and careers. Kid City’s college access and persistence, career readiness, and music programs are responsive to the holistic needs of youth and young adults and embrace the unique voices and experiences of each of them.

What We Offer

College Access & Persistence

We provide crucial college access programs and support current and soon-to-be first-generation college students need to navigate higher education - including their parents and families who are experiencing what it's like for to have a child in college for the first time.

Music Education

Since opening our doors, the sound of students learning to play their instruments has reverberated Kid City's walls. Individual and Band Lessons helps students build community, express their unique voices, and grow as artists with each other's support.

Job & Career Readiness

Kid City maintains opportunities for high school and college students to gain essential skills and work experience to prepare them for their first jobs. Opportunities include resume building, career coaching, internships & fellowships, and a specialized arts event production training.
