Tatiana Orizaba Nicoll and Alejandra Gonzalez are the newest members of our team, working closely with our High School students in College Prep this year. Additionally, Tatiana will integrate a Spoken Word and Poetry program to support students artistic expression.
From Tatiana:
“Hello! My name is Tatiana Orizaba Nicoll, but you can call me Tati! I use she/her/hers pronouns. I was born and raised in Orange County, graduated from Carlsbad High School, then moved to New York to pursue my undergraduate degree in Adolescent Education at St. John's University in New York. I am now working on my master's degree at Harvard to pursue counseling! I would love to be a high school guidance/ mental health counselor in the future! To the students and families: I'm so excited to get to know each of you and guide you to reach all your dreams and goals you want to achieve for yourself! I know I will learn so much from you, too. Your life right now may be filled with stress, confusion of the future, and hopefully some excitement and curiosity! I would love to create a space where we can talk, write, and cope with these issues in a creative way!”
From Alejandra:
“Hi everyone, my name is Alejandra V. Gonzalez, I use she/her/hers pronouns. I was born and raised in Santa Ana California (just a little bit south of LA), graduated from Century High School, went on to complete my undergraduate degree at UCLA and I am now working on my Masters degree at Harvard, woooo! To the students and families: I wish that I could be meeting you all in person, but regardless I am super excited to be here virtually. I can't wait to get to know each of you a little more and hopefully, learn with & from you all. Sidenote, I hope you are all taking care of yourselves and giving yourself some time to do things that make you happy!“
