Sara Munshin is a Mathematics Educator and Tutor with years of experience at all levels of the education system and was previously affiliated with the Los Angeles Unified School District. She is currently working for UCLA on a project to improve student learning in mathematic in the West District of LAUSD.

Sara is a long-time member of the First United Methodist Church of Los Angeles and is currently president of the United Methodist Women of that church. She is also a member of the Rotary Club of South Pasadena. She participates in and supports organizations that are working to bring about social and economic justice locally and globally.

The members of the board each willing contribute their skills and resources to the Urban Foundation Board. I particularly like their persistence and creativity as they strive to keep the Urban Foundation on a strong financial path toward the future as well as suggest connections with other like-minded organizations to meet mutual goals.
