College Program

We know that graduating high school is only part of the journey to college and career success. Kid City supports post-high school program participants’ persistence and success in higher education and beyond.

Services include financial aid support, tutoring, campus ambassador program, monthly community spaces, special events and workshops.

One-on-One Support

Need support with financial aid forms? Would you like a second pair of eyes on your resume? Meet with one of the College team members for assistance navigating FAFSA, DREAM ACT. Other topics our team can support you with are: Resume Review, Statement of Purpose (Grad School) Support, and Letters of Recommendation.

Get Stuff Done

We know that as college students having an accountability buddy or designated time to focus is key to getting stuff done. This is an easygoing, soft and relaxed virtual environment that lasts for one hour and half to motivate each other in our studies and other types of work. Led by College Program staff, interns, and volunteers.

Monthly Socials and Gatherings

Beyond academia, Kid City recognizes the need for fun and play. Every month, the College team organizes an engaging activity or game, like Among Us, Story Time, or talking about anime to let loose, get creative juices flowing, and to build community with one another.

Winter Leadership Retreat

Every winter, Kid City college students reconnect, learn more about how to support one another, and reflect on the past year. Each year, there is a new theme that is decided by a student planning committee. Using a breakout group model, the retreat features keynote speeches and hands-on workshops like cooking demonstrations and candle making.
